Child Passenger Safety Program

Car Seat Installations & Inspections:

The Child Passenger Safety Program is designed to help educate caregivers on the proper installation of car or booster seats in their cars. The program also focuses on ensuring that each child is utilizing a seat that is free of defects, recalls, and is appropriate for the child.

What to bring:

  • Car Seat(s)
  • Children that will be restrained in each seat
  • Car Seat Manual (for each seat being installed)
  • Vehicle Manual

Child safety seats can reduce fatal injury by up to 71 percent for infants and 54 percent for toddlers (ages 1-4) *. Proper installation procedures can vary according to make and model of seat, make and model of vehicle, and size of child. The North Andover Fire Department offers inspections to verify if your seats are installed correctly.
